Hi Nihal Raj, I’ve just read your review, and to say I was surprised would be an understatement. I’ve been visiting this restaurant for many years and have never had anything less than excellent service and food. The staff have always been attentive, friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, I witnessed the incident you referenced, along with others—including families and children—and I found the situation both uncomfortable and unnecessary. I’d like to ask you to reflect on the way you spoke to the gentleman you referred to—the 'grey-haired man.' Ask yourself honestly: would it be acceptable if someone addressed you, your family, or your colleagues in the same manner? Using offensive language, especially in another language (perhaps assuming others wouldn't understand), was deeply inappropriate and, frankly, beneath what one might expect from a professional. Your reaction appeared exaggerated, and the way you engaged with the staff was not only unkind but unprovoked. From where I stood, it was your attitude that escalated the situation and ultimately left the staff no choice but to ask you to leave. I understand that we all have bad days, and if that was the case for you, I genuinely hope things improve. But perhaps now, with some time to reflect, you might reconsider the review you posted. It doesn’t reflect the full context of what happened. If you do choose to remove or amend it, I will gladly do the same with this response. Kindness and respect cost nothing—and they go a long way. Wishing you the day you deserve.

Made a reservation for two at 7pm Friday 25th April and on arrival the restaurant was buzzing and really busy , we were told that our table would be 15-20 minutes late and we said no problem and popped in for a drink next door. True to the owners word he called over to notify us that our table was ready. The staff were amazing and really friendly and loved to chat with their customers which I thought was a lovely touch and I also enjoyed talking with the owner and his wife. Food was prompt and hot , very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and would definitely go back !! We highly recommend this restaurant as you won't be disappointed!! Thank you all at saffron for a fantastic evening!! James & Cath xx

Excellent food and really friendly staff. Turns out the boss & waiter are from my home town so we had a great chat. Seemed like they were very popular. Very busy but staff very attentive.

We booked in advance which I would strongly advise. Brilliant meal. Everything was delicious and there was lots of it. Fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was brought to the table with efficiency and good humour. Great value for money. We'll definitely be coming back to Barmouth and a meal at the Saffron will be high on our itinerary.

Great staff that were friendly with a good sense of humour from the moment we walked in. Was quiet when we arrived as we arrived just as they opened. Food was great good size portions and very good quality. Overall a great evening meal for 5 of us and meal was well priced.

I have to say how beautiful our takeaway was. Everything was so tasty and fresh. I’m fairly local and usually opt for a different Indian only because the drive is shorter. But I’m so glad we drove a bit further.. even the meat was beautiful the lamb was so tender, the chicken was actually real, none of this chewy stuff. I have already told my friends we must come for a sit down meal. Can’t wait to eat that curry again. Diolch
